We welcome Bengt-Göran Soting, our new Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Persson Innovation. Bengt-Göran will have the overall responsibility for everything operational, I.e., production, purchasing, logistics, maintenance and associated personnel. As COO your main focus is making sure that all parts of the company work together in the most efficient way. To help you get to know Bengt-Göran better, we have asked him a few questions.
– I am 49 years old, live in a small town together with my wife and two daughters, close to our head quarter in Kumla. The last ten years I have been Quality & Environment manager at Brightec Production, and before that, I was Production Manager at Bona AB. Beside my family and earlier experiences I enjoy hanging out with friends and cooking, especially food inspired by the Italian kitchen. When I want to refuel and relax, I go to the discgolf course for a couple of rounds, that’s an interest I found during the pandemic Covid-19 – and it is a great way to exercise and socialize.
– I was contacted by a recruiter for this position thru LinkedIn. I enjoyed my role at Brightec but at the same time it was time for a change after ten years in the same company, so I decided to apply. Persson Innovation is a unique company with an outstanding product, market leader but still eager for improvement and innovation.
– I am looking forward taking Persson to the next level regarding quality, delivery performance and efficiency. In the future I am looking forward to see a company that has grown with existing customers and new markets. That we still are the number one choice when it comes to handles. When people think of Persson they will think quality, sustainability, and affordable products.
– The plastic industry is the fastest growing source of industrial greenhouse gases in the world. Global society consumes approx. 350million tons of plastic per year, if we can get the market to choose paper handles instead of plastic, we and our customers contribute to a reduced climate footprint.
Nestled in the Swedish town of Kumla, just outside Örebro, lies the heart of our company, where we blend a global vision with deep local roots. At Persson Innovation, we are pioneers in sustainable packaging, producing recyclable paper handles designed to replace plastic. While our products reach customers across continents, we remain proudly anchored in our hometown. Read more
