We are excited to introduce Dennis D’mello as our new Director of Global Sales at Persson Innovation. Dennis will lead the development and execution of a sales strategy that aligns seamlessly with Persson’s growth objectives. His role involves leading a dynamic sales team, keeping a close eye on market trends and competition, and identifying new business opportunities.
To help you get to know Dennis better, we’ve asked him a few questions.
Who is Dennis D’mello?
I grew up in Frövi, a small town outside Örebro, with my parents and two younger brothers. After finishing school, I worked at Linde Maskiner as an operator for a few years, producing parts for the automotive industry. I then moved to Örebro and took employment with Billerud, a cartonboard producer in Frövi, which was my previous employer. At Billerud, I started in production, then transitioned to customer service, followed by roles in production planning, business development, and eventually sales, managing various regions across Europe. During this time, I met my wife Jolin, who convinced me to change my last name from Pettersson to D’mello. In February 2024, we welcomed our daughter Hailey and got the keys to our house in Örebro.
In my free time, I often spend time with friends and family or engage in sports. I play padel, tennis, and golf, and I try to squeeze in gym sessions whenever possible. I love good food, both cooking and eating, and, with a wife of part Indian descent, Indian cuisine has become my favorite. Traveling, meeting new people, and experiencing new cultures and countries is a passion I share with my wife, and we try to get away whenever we can.
Why did you want to join Persson Innovation?
While working in sales at Billerud, I first came into contact with Persson and was intrigued by the ingenious idea of combating plastics in this part of the packaging industry. Later, I was approached by the recruiting agency for my current role and immediately expressed my interest. After meeting Andreas and learning more about the role and company, I realized that this position is exactly what I have been looking for.
What will your responsibilities be as Director of Global Sales?
My responsibility as Director of Global Sales is primarily to develop and implement a sales strategy that aligns with Persson’s targets. This involves having the right team in place, analyzing market trends and competition, identifying new business opportunities, further developing existing business, and ensuring that we have adequate technical support in terms of computer systems and technical data.
What are you looking forward to accomplishing as Director of Global Sales at Persson Innovation?
I am looking forward to developing a robust platform that will enable us to take our company to the next level. My ambition is to make Persson Innovation a partner that is easy to do business with, consistently delivers on time and according to specifications, and becomes the go-to company for any packaging solution requiring handles.
What are you looking forward to in the future with the company?
There is so much happening in the company at the moment, and although we have already made several major leaps forward in improving ourselves, I believe the best is yet to come, and I am thrilled to be part of that journey.
What does sustainability mean to you?
Sustainability is everything. The climate crisis demands that we transition to more sustainable ways of living, and being able to help companies make that transition adds a greater sense of purpose to my work, which I take great pride in. Beyond reducing CO2 emissions, sustainability to me also means maintaining a healthy work-life balance and contributing to a work environment where colleagues feel valued and motivated to excel in their roles.
