Matthew Cassano recently started working at Persson Innovation as the Key Account Manager for the North America region. We sat down with Matthew and asked him a few questions to get to know him better. Read the details of our interview below.
Who is Matthew Cassano?
My name is Matthew Cassano. I live in a town outside of Philadelphia called Cherry Hill with my wife and three children.
I grew up in the packaging industry. From the time I was 13 I was already folding boxes in my family’s converting business in southern New Jersey. Most recently I’ve been selling corrugated boxes, folding cartons, and pressure sensitive labels.
What will your responsibilities be as Key Account Manager?
My responsibilities as Key Account Manager will be to take care of our largest US customers, making sure their needs are met and that their accounts are serviced properly.
The best part of my job is seeing the solutions that I propose to my clients on the shelves of the stores I visit and at my doorstep when an order arrives from Amazon. Also bringing packaging samples home to my children is fun as well.
Why did you want to join Persson Innovation?
I wanted to join Persson Innovation because I believed in the product. It’s simple, it’s effective, it has a sustainability component and I love the fact that it enhances the end-customer experience of the product as well.
I’m looking forward to getting to know the rest of the team. Also catching up with our key accounts and understanding the status of our relationship today and how it can be developed over the next six months.
Why is it important to rethink packaging?
It’s very important to rethink packaging because of the increasingly important role that packaging plays in the marketplace. To the individual, to the products and to the planet.
I think there’s a lot of growth ahead for this company and I’m looking forward to making Person Innovation a household name. I’m very much looking forward to the journey ahead.
