Paper-based Packaging Wins at ScanPack 2024
We are extremely happy and proud to announce that our paper based solution, created together with Sandvik Mining and Construction Tools AB and DS Smith, are one of this year’s winners of the Nordic packaging competition ScanStar 2024.
At this year’s annual ScanStar competition, a record number of 39 entries competed. And we are very grateful to announce that our solution, the “Shank Adapter Packaging”—a safe and sustainable packaging that uses paper handles for a completely new application: packaging for heavy industrial products—was selected by the jury as one of the winners.

The jury motivation:
“Primary packaging for Sandvik shank adapters. A 100 % paper-based packaging with such a good design that it makes it easy to carry heavy equipment. A remarkable high quality of corrugated board!”
About ScanStar:
ScanStar is a Nordic packaging competition held annually since 1969 by the Scandinavian Packaging Association (SPA). The competition is open to packaging solutions that are designed, constructed, or manufactured in one of the Nordic countries.
This year’s ScanStar jury included Ole Anton Bakke from Jotun, Norway; Lars Windeman from PacsOn, Sweden; Ksenija Garbacenka from Plus Pack, Denmark; Virpi Korhonen from Sense’n’Insight, Finland; and Chairman of the Jury, Mikael Gällstedt from the Swedish Packaging Guild (Svenska förpackningsgillet).
